Southland Polymers is currently seeking motivated self starters to fill the following position(s) in our Corporate Office.

Account Executive
Job Description:
This position involves working in an inside sales capacity for 1-3 months and then migrating to an Account Manager sales position responsible for a customer base in the greater Los Angeles County area. Industry specific training will be provided. You will be required to: 1) Work with the Director of Sales and Marketing to craft and implement account and marketing strategies 2) Cold-call potential accounts from a list of targeted prospects 3) Aggressively follow-up on leads 4) Be responsible for servicing your own accounts 5) Maintain a constant sales pipeline.

This Account Manager will report directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Engineering Products Group. This is a high-profile position within a firm where results are noticed. Occasional overnight travel may be involved. Position has a guaranteed salary plus high commission potential for the motivated individual along with a benefit package.

Job Qualification:
The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience selling technical products and possess the personality, work ethic, and integrity that are required to work at a company that is seeking to aggressively expand its regional sales footprint.

Candidates should have experience prospecting and/or cold-calling new accounts. Prior plastic sales experience is preferred, as is familiarity with the following software packages: Act!, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel.
